THANK YOU!

So as you can see, I had a bad day yesterday! I just wanted to thank all of my friends and family members that commented and wrote me emails. It really helped motivate me to want this more. I know I'm being extremely selfish. I want to finish this through the end, so I'm not calling it quits just yet! I stepped on the scale this morning (I try not to, but so tempting) and I was down another pound. I hope that keeps me motivated the rest of the week!

Throwing in the towel

Seriously, I am so over dieting. It is making me angry and I don't want to be angry. I lost a big fat 0 this week and I'm seriously pissed about it. I hate that I'm fat. I hate that I've lost nearly 30 pounds and I'm still fat. I have no body but myself to make me lose this weight. I have 3 little kids that need my constant attention all day long and the last thing I want to do at the end of the day is 60 minutes on the elliptical. I HATE watching what I eat and not being able to go up to the fridge on a bad day and eat what I want. I'm seriously thinking that this is my permanent weight forever.

I don't have a lot to say. I've been in a super bad mood all weekend. I'm glad I had a loss, I was expecting to gain or stay even. The heat was brutal this week. I HATE making excuses. It was literally 99 degrees in my house one night. I would have gone to the ER if I would have worked out in that. Anyway, I'm not looking forward to my birthday tomorrow. I feel old and fat.

I was able to get on the elliptical in the morning before it got super hot. It was 80 degrees outside already, but that is much better then the mid 90s it was today. I was pouring sweat but it felt so good to get it done with. I did awesome with my diet today too. The next few days is suppose to be even hotter. I hope I'm still able to work out in the heat. I think if I put a fan on me during my workout I should be fine!!

New Weigh-In Day

I've decided to weigh in on Sundays. I like to weigh in on a day that I have worked out the day before. It will also hopefully keep me accountable for doing my Saturday workout. It's usually pretty easy for me to talk myself out of working out on Saturday. Today was my first Sunday weigh in. -2. I suppose that is what it going to be from now on. I have to be ok with it. It's not terrible, but I just love to see -5. This week I am going to start entering my daily diet as well (starting Monday). Really keep me accountable. It's also suppose to be 90+ degrees all week, so I'm hoping to either get my work out in the early morning or late at night. I refuse to talk myself out of it, even in the heat. Maybe I'll even burn more calories ;) Oh and I have met my birthday goal a week early. Only 1 more pound to my pre-pregnancy weight!!

REALLY slow and steady!

I don't know why I'm not happy with a -2 weight loss. I know I should be, but I just want to lose this blasted weight! I only have 1 more pound to lose to reach my birthday goal of -25 pounds, and my birthday is in two weeks. I'm totally going to step it up this week. I've been bad lately about having a bite of the kids food after they are done with it. I don't know what is with that. I just lose my mind! So -2 is good. Derek said if I lose 2 pounds a week till my brother comes home then I will be at my goal. So I am on the right track!

Slow and Steady

-2. I guess that's good, but I like to see 3 or more. I really shouldn't be greedy. I worked out 6 days this week and half way through the week I went from a level 7 to an 8 on the elliptical. Doing that for an hour it said I burned 900 calories. I love it! I suppose that is why I thought I would lose more. ANYWAY, I'm only 3 pounds away from the birthday goal, and my birthday is in 3 weeks. I think I'm on the right track!!

-20!


I can't believe I actually lost weight this week!!! I'll take the -1 pound proudly. It got me down to -20 pounds since Memorial Day. I felt really good today. I stuck to my points and even got my work out in while the little ones napped. I thought I'd give you a picture of me at my 20 pound mark. I'm looking forward to another 20 pounds gone!

Blah

What a crappy week. I really thought going into it I was going to be strong. But with my sister having the week off and Derek going out of town over the 4th, I totally blew it. Not bad blew it, just sort of blew it. Like first of all, I only worked out twice. How lame is that??? I didn't do terrible on my diet until yesterday. I had a HUGE cupcake from Costco. I have never been so sick in my entire life. I fell sleep with the worst sugar high. Gross. Not worth it at all. So I got back on it today and I've done really well. I would like to work out, but it being Sunday I really didn't want to do that. We'll see. So, I'm nervous to weigh in tomorrow. I'm not expecting a loss at all, but I'm hoping to stay even. Then I have to get on track with working out. I did squeeze into my pre-pregnancy jeans this week which is a huge accomplishment for me. I'm still a few pounds away from pre-pregnancy weight, but I'm really close. I'm thinking about posting my food this week too, to keep me accountable.

-3!!

I lost another 3 pounds this week! What a relief. I caught a chest cold on Friday and was able to still work out that day. By Saturday by chest hurt so bad I decided it wasn't best to work out. I was afraid that would have affected my weight loss but it didn't. I only have 1 more pound to hit my 20 pound mark! I'm so glad that I'm sticking to this. My sister has this week off so I'm hoping I don't fall off when it comes to eating out. I can most likely find something to eat anywhere we go. I just have to be good at working out in the evening! Oh and it's a holiday this weekend...YIKES!

Goal #1!!!!

I did it! I've lost 16 pounds so far and my first goal was to lose 15 by the fourth of July. I'm ahead of schedule and I love it! Especially because I know there is going to be a time when I will stop losing so fast. I worked out 5 days this week 60 minutes each time. I also went from level 6 to level 7 on the elliptical. I couldn't believe how much more of a work out I got the first time. I burned over 100 calories more! I also went out to eat with Derek this weekend. We had a gift card for an Italian restaurant and I wasn't sure about calories. I decided on angel hair pasta with tomato sauce. It was really good and I only ate about 1/3 of what they gave me. I was actually full!! It's amazing how much your stomach shrinks when you don't eat so much!!

Still Here!

I have NOT fallen off the wagon! I've been kind of lazy putting my food on everyday, and we went out of town Friday night and I didn't get on the computer at the hotel. I was so proud of myself for sticking to my diet while we were out of town. My only downfall was that I wasn't able to work out Friday or Saturday. I was nervous to weigh in today because I was stressed the whole weekend. I was very happy to see -3 pounds! 13 pounds in 3 weeks is pretty awesome! I only have 2 more pounds to meet my 15 pound goal by the 4th of July. I'm hoping to take care of that this week :) I'm excited to get back on the elliptical tonight and get back to my routine.

I finally made it through the week! I didn't post yesterdays food because I honestly can't exactly remember what I ate, but I was way under for the day. Last night was a horrible night for me. I tried a new formula on my baby (soy, thinking maybe he is lactose intolerant) and he threw up for 3 straight hours. Projectile. Anyway, he was very lethargic and me being the most paranoid parent when it comes to my child's health, I took him to the ER. Anyway, he is doing much better today (after 14 hours of Pedialyte) and seems to be back to his old self again. So, I didn't go to bed last night at all, I finally fell asleep at 6:00 am this morning (and was awake by 7:30). I was so proud that I stuck to my diet. I usually fall off my diet when I get stressed or tired. I'm excited to weigh in tomorrow. I'm thinking it might be another good weight loss!

I can't believe I've stuck to my diet for 12 days!! It feels so good. I was able to a full 60 minutes today! I did it yesterday too, but I did 20 minutes in the morning and then my kids were about to kill each other so when I put them to bed I did another 40. Today I did an hour with NO int eruptions! I was pouring sweat but it felt so good!

A New Favorite

I love this place! I've actually only had it once (yesterday), but I know I'll be going back. It is a chain, but there is only one in Washington state and it happens to be right down the road from our house!! It reminds me of Subway, but with a pita. I can get so much food for very little points and that is why I like it.

Another busy morning! We all slept in till about 7:30 so I didn't get on the elliptical before all the appointments we had. After the dentist, I took the kids to McDonald's for being so good. I had about 10 (or less) of Reese's fries. I always have plenty of points left to spare so I splurged. I then had to take the baby to the Dr and then over to the hospital for a chest x-ray. That was EXHAUSTING, but when i got home I got on the elliptical. It was 90 outside and I still managed to get in 45!!

I was so tired this morning. I got on the elliptical and felt like I couldn't finish and that I would do it later that night. Around 4pm, I was feeling guilty. So I got on and did another 45 minutes. It was almost 90 degrees outside but I knew I had to get it in. And I'm so glad I did!!! The kids did pretty good for the most part. They gave the baby his binky about 10 times which helped. I have a busy day tomorrow with taking the kids to the dentist and the baby to the Dr. I'll have to get on first thing tomorrow!!!!

First Weigh In...

I LOST 5 POUNDS!!

It feels good, but I'm a little selfish. The way I've been exercising and eating I'd like to see a 10 pound loss. My husband reminded me that a 10 pound loss is Biggest Loser weight loss, so I should be proud of my 5 pounds. And I am. I hope I can keep up this pace. I'm already 2 pounds ahead of schedule!!

Okay, so I didn't eat very much today. Let me explain. So after church (12pm), I was so snacky. I could have eaten the whole house. So I ate what I did and went and took my Sunday afternoon nap. Then when I woke up it was time to get the kids ready so we can go watch Derek's baseball game. I was good and packed them dinner and snacks but I was so busy getting them ready and out the door I didn't bring anything for me. By the time we left the game it was 7:15 and I really hate eating after 7pm, especially when I'm weighing in tomorrow. So I called it a night. I am not starving and I feel good about my day. I obviously should have eaten more. I'm going to try harder this week to eat more points in a day.

I probably should have eaten more today. I think I'm going to try harder to reach my point target. I upped my workout to 50 minutes today. I want to work my way up to an hour. I was afraid I wasn't going to find time to get it in today. All three kids were awake the whole time and Reese only cried once for about 30 seconds, so I was able to do the longer work out. I was so relieved! Tomorrow will be the true test to my diet. Weekends are always the hardest and when I usually fall off my diet. I know if I can get through this weekend I can finish this till the end! I'm also thinking about working out tomorrow too...we'll see!

I wasn't hungry today! I love that. It's so hard to diet when you feel like you're starving all day. It helps that I was busy most of the morning. I had to take Maddox to the dr and then I had a hair cut appointment at 11:30. Around 1pm my mom asked me what I had for lunch. That's when I remembered that I hadn't had lunch!!

Third day in a row!! I feel good. I think I'm so in the zone that I'm not angry that I have to diet. Sometimes I get so mad that I am the one that has to diet and exercise to lose weight. It's frustrating, but I know I can do it with a lot of hard work. It will be so worth it!

Can't Live Without...

For My Workout -
I don't need the fancy iPod to do my workout. I just need about 45 minutes worth of music on it and I'm good to go.


I have to have a tabloid magazine with me, even with my headphones going. I prefer this one or US Magazine. Both are perfect.

I have a bottle of water with me during my workout. I'm planning on going to REI tomorrow and buying this kind. I hear they are the best.

Best elliptical I have ever been on that wasn't at a gym!! It pays for itself with 6 payments to the gym!!!



For My Diet -


Not to be confused with the NASTY Taco Time's (found in Eastern Washington and Utah). Only the ones in Western Washington. I can get a "light meal" which has a chicken hard taco and a cup of chicken chili for 5 points!!


I love these soups. I can eat a whole can for 4 points and I'm actually full when I'm done! I usually get the cans with chicken in it. I like to add a squirt of Red Rooster hot sauce (0 points) for some extra flavor.

I can eat the whole bag for only 2 points. I like to put spray butter on it (0 points) and a little bit of salt and I feel like I'm eating the real deal! This is a must at night when I'm watching TV.

Last but not least, Diet Coke. I have heard a lot of people say you shouldn't drink soda when you are trying to lose weight. But if I'm depriving myself of everything else, I'm not going to give up my Diet Coke. Especially since I have lost a combined total of 120 pounds while drinking this daily.

** I ate this thinking it was something healthy and low in points. I called Derek to look up how many calories were in it and realized it was NOT! Online it says that it is 810 calories and 38 grams of fat. If you go by ww points that would be 19 points. I did take off the cheese so I'm not sure what that would take it down to, but I am convinced that it is not that many calories, even with the cheese. So, I am counting it 10 points. Because of this, I was so scared to eat anything the rest of the day - I felt like I ruined my diet for the day. From now on I will check the points on the food I am going to eat before I eat it...lesson learned!

It's always easy for me to stick to my diet on the first day. I think I did really well today, considering all the obstacles that I came across - brownies, depression, holiday,cranky kids and a really sore knee. I know there is going to be challenges every day, but for me to overcome all of these things is a step in the right direction. I feel really great at the end of the day and I'm so thankful for a supportive husband.

Seriously

I have started my post baby diet probably 5 times in the last couple months. I'm done with "starting over" every Monday morning. I hope that if I blog about it I'll be more committed to losing it... FOR THE LAST TIME! I really don't know what I'll blog about, just whatever is on my mind about dieting and working out. My husband was so awesome and bought me my very own elliptical trainer so I wouldn't have any excuses about getting to the gym with 3 kids. It does make it easier, but I can usually talk myself out of it pretty quickly, especially if I have a fussy baby or a whiny kid at my ankles. No more excuses. After I had Mason I lost 60 pounds in 3 months. I was at my skinniest ever. I kept it off for a while until I got pregnant with Reese and gained it all back plus a few more. I then went on to lose that same 60 after Reese. I wasn't quite to my goal when, SURPRISE I was shocked to find out I was pregnant again. So help me baby weight! I'm so sick of it. Okay, so I'm not going to put my starting weight until I lose about 30 which I was hoping to do by my 30th birthday. It doesn't look like that will be happening but I'm going to try my hardest. My ultimate goal is 50-60 pounds by the time my little brother comes home from his mission, I think the middle of October. I know I have plenty of time but I will have to stick to it 100%. I am following the Weight Watchers (WW) diet and working out at least 5 days a week. WISH ME LUCK!
